In the beginning Julia had a rough idea of what profit, and discounting for friends and family (or giving away for free). Really it was a confidence crisis and valuing your own work and having customers that value your work! Julia had a confidence crisis and never thought cakes were good enough. Never charged more because she didn’t think she was ‘worth’ more. And the evolution of her business from a hobby to 6% profit margins and now at 56% profit margin and how she did it.

And with a cake course, she increased profit margin by 277%! And in the following year increased profit margin by 383%.
